He's almost three, and today he made me crack up laughing.
We were driving to school, and I went the "fun way--" past a huge duck pond. He says, "Ducks eat fish."
"Yes, you're right."
"People don't eat fish."
"Well," trying to imagine if he's going to link eating meat to eating animals, "Some people eat fish."
"We don't eat fish."
"No, we don't."
A few seconds of critical thinking goes on behind those cute blue eyes.
"I eat fish."
Now this boy has eaten no fish in his whole life. He barely eats anything but toast and cereal bars. "When do you eat fish," I ask?
"Nate (yes, third person) eats Goldfish. Not goldfish in water."
I burst out laughing. He plows through a bag of Goldfish crackers weekly. He's crazy funny. At least to his mom.
We love goldfish too.
